Jenna is a registered Provisional Psychologist who is passionate about supporting individuals on their journey toward healing and personal growth. She believes that everyone possesses the capacity for positive change and strives to help clients access their inner strengths while building the tools and strategies needed to live a fulfilling and authentic life.

Jenna completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Concordia University of Edmonton and went on to complete her Master’s in Counselling through City University. Jenna has worked in the mental health field since 2018 and has experience with a multitude of populations. She worked as a Peer Support Team Lead during her undergraduate degree while also providing respite care to children and adults with disabilities. After completing her undergraduate degree, Jenna worked on the front lines of the opioid crisis, offering professional harm reduction services as well as overdose response. She then transitioned into a role on a multidisciplinary team at an inpatient psychiatric facility, giving her years of experience working with numerous populations, including individuals experiencing challenges related to personality disorders, forensic charges, eating disorders, depression and anxiety, and OCD-related disorders.

During her Master’s internship, Jenna supported families and individuals experiencing domestic violence. Jenna enjoyed this work so much that she continued as a volunteer therapist for an additional year post-internship, at which point she was granted her provisional license by the College of Alberta Psychologists. Throughout her academic and professional experiences, Jenna has worked with a wide range of age groups and populations, including children, teens, young adults, adults, and seniors.

From a therapeutic perspective, Jenna has experience and competencies in modalities such as EMDR, Trauma-Informed ACT, DBT, and somatic therapies, and she tends to base her therapeutic work within an attachment and relational framework. She embraces client-centred, strength-based, and trauma-informed principles in her practice and specializes in trauma-based work and recovery. Jenna has formal training in intensive trauma treatment, DBT, and EMDR. She hopes to complete Gottman training to advance her work into couples therapy and further specialize in sex therapy in the future.

Due to her previous experience in healthcare, Jenna is particularly interested in supporting first responders and other healthcare professionals who may be experiencing work-related stress or trauma. Jenna recognizes the stigma surrounding professionals seeking their own treatment and always aims to normalize therapeutic work within these populations.

Jenna likes to incorporate humour where appropriate during her sessions and prides herself on her ability to make others laugh, even after a difficult session. Her goal each day is to make someone smile or laugh, or to do something that brightens someone’s world. You can expect warmth, compassion, humour, and humility throughout your sessions.

Jenna works with an emphasis on guiding clients to understand how our bodies can carry trauma, whether through complex trauma or single-incident trauma. She believes in not just intellectualizing trauma, but actually processing it while staying connected to the present moment through safety and grounding. Jenna also enjoys helping clients foster self-compassion throughout the therapeutic process, believing that oftentimes our harshest critic is ourselves. She will always collaborate with clients to develop a therapeutic approach that feels right for them.

Jenna understands that beginning therapy can feel vulnerable, and she is committed to creating a space where clients feel comfortable showing up exactly as they are. She believes that meaningful change happens through connection, curiosity, and compassion, and considers it a privilege to walk alongside clients as they navigate challenges, build on their strengths, and move toward the life they envision for themselves.

Jenna has availability Mondays through Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Book a session with Jenna today and take the first step toward the care and support you deserve.

Chidi provides trauma-informed therapy to adults navigating anxiety, panic, grief, relational difficulties, and the lasting impact of overwhelming or painful life experiences. Her work is grounded in an understanding of how the nervous system, attachment patterns, and early relational experiences shape emotional wellbeing, coping, and self-perception. She approaches symptoms not as weaknesses, but as meaningful and adaptive responses to lived experiences.

Her clinical approach is integrative and tailored to each client’s unique needs. She incorporates evidence-based modalities including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and somatic, nervous-system–based practices. Chidi works with adults from diverse backgrounds, including individuals from BIPOC communities who have experienced trauma, chronic stress, or systemic and relational harm. Her areas of focus include trauma and PTSD, attachment wounds, addictions, emotional regulation, dissociation, chronic stress, self-esteem challenges, and patterns such as people-pleasing or self-silencing that often develop in response to unsafe or unpredictable environments. At the heart of Heidi’s work is a simple belief: when we understand the story behind our struggles, we are better equipped to move forward with intention and purpose.

Heidi Erisman is a Registered Psychologist who works with young adults, adults, couples, and families. She provides counselling and psychological assessment services for individuals navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, and emotional difficulties, as well as those seeking greater clarity and understanding of themselves.

Many people arrive in therapy feeling stuck. They may find themselves repeating the same relationship patterns, struggling with anxiety that seems difficult to explain, carrying the impact of painful experiences, or questioning why certain challenges continue to surface despite their best efforts. Together, therapy becomes an opportunity to explore these patterns with curiosity and compassion, uncovering the experiences, beliefs, and relationships that have shaped them over time.

Heidi has a particular passion for couples and relationship work. She helps partners navigate communication difficulties, emotional disconnection, conflict, trust concerns, intimacy challenges, and the impact of trauma, ADHD, and other life stressors on relationships. Her goal is not simply to resolve conflict, but to help couples better understand themselves and one another while building stronger foundations for connection and growth.

Her approach is relational, attachment-focused, and trauma-informed, and informed by careful assessment. Drawing from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), attachment-based therapies, Gottman Method principles, and evidence-based trauma treatments, she tailors therapy to the unique needs and goals of each client. She values balancing insight with practical strategies, helping clients develop both a deeper understanding of themselves and the tools needed to create change in everyday life.

In addition to counselling, Heidi conducts comprehensive psychological assessments for adolescents and adults. These assessments provide clarity regarding diagnoses, personality functioning, ADHD, trauma-related concerns, emotional well-being, and treatment recommendations. Her assessment work combines clinical expertise with a thoughtful and collaborative approach, helping clients gain a clearer understanding of their strengths, challenges, and next steps.

Heidi completed her Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology through the Centre for Applied Psychology at Athabasca University. Prior she achieved a Masters of Business Administration and an undergraduate degree in psychology. Throughout her career, she has remained fascinated by the ways people grow, adapt, and heal across the lifespan. Clients often describe her as thoughtful, compassionate, and insightful, appreciating her ability to make complex emotional and relational experiences easier to understand.

Outside of her professional work, she enjoys portrait painting, travelling to explore fine art and studying psychology, spending time with her family, and being a proud grandparent to her energetic grandsons. She also shares her life with Dachshunds, whose personalities provide a daily reminder that every individual brings their own unique story into the world.

Heidi has availability on Tuesdays and Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. starting July 14th, 2026! Book a session with Heidi today and take the first step toward the care and support you deserve.

Zach is a Registered Provisional Psychologist who approaches therapy with warmth, curiosity, and a deeply human-first perspective. He values depth, authenticity, and meaningful connection, and strives to create a therapeutic space where clients feel genuinely seen, heard, and understood. Zach is known for his grounded, gentle, and nonjudgmental presence, and for his ability to meet people with openness and respect, regardless of their background or life circumstances. He views therapy as a collaborative process and works alongside clients as partners, recognizing them as the experts in their own lives.

Zach holds a Master’s degree in Counselling (MC) from City University of Seattle. His professional journey began in the direction of emergency services, including formal education through a diploma in Police Studies from MacEwan University and work in wildland firefighting in Peace River, Alberta. Through a period of reflection, he recognized that his interests and values were leading him toward a different path—one centered on deeper human connection and understanding. This realization led him to return to university to complete a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology.

As he transitioned into the field of mental health, Zach gained direct clinical and community-based experience working at a community drop-in centre in Edmonton operated by the Mustard Seed, where he supported individuals navigating housing instability, addiction, and unmet basic needs. He later worked as a Behavioural Therapy Assistant with the Edmonton Catholic School District, supporting youth of diverse ages and abilities. Currently, and in addition to providing therapy services at Authentic You, Zach also works as a clinician at Cornerstone Counselling in Edmonton.

Zach’s therapeutic approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and grounded in evidence-based practices. His primary modalities include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). He also integrates elements of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) as appropriate. Zach is deeply interested in existential, narrative, somatic, and emotion-focused approaches, and thoughtfully weaves aspects of these perspectives into his work. He has received formal training in EMDR and ACT and plans to pursue further training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), with the goal of expanding into couples therapy in the future.

Outside the therapy room, Zach is grounded by the things that remind him he is alive and connected. Karate is a constant in his life, offering discipline, resilience, and community, and he now teaches and passes on what was given to him. He loves travel for the way it challenges assumptions and invites awe. Music and movement matter to him, from Irish dance to guitar, and he deeply values time spent with friends, laughing, playing board games, and sharing moments that make life feel full.

In therapy, Zach creates a space that feels warm, slow, and collaborative. Clients don’t need to perform, have the right words, or know exactly what they need. There may be moments when he doesn’t have the answers, but he is present and committed to figuring things out together. Above all, Zach believes people have an innate capacity for healing, and he considers it a privilege to support that process.

Zach has availability on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Book a session with Zach today and take the first step toward the care and support you deserve.
